Candidate for
Board Member; Fullerton Joint Union High School District

Vicki Calhoun has been a resident in Fullerton for many years. She grew up in the Maple school area.

Her high school alma mater was Fullerton Union High School. After high school graduation, Vicki then went on to attend and graduated from Fullerton College where she received an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts. She was very active in school activities and was head cheerleader for two years.

Vicki transferred to San Diego State University where she was also a cheerleader and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. Vicki's recreational interests are music, traveling, basketball and tennis.

Education endeavors continued at Loyola Marymount University where Vicki received her M.A. in Education. Upon completing her M.A. degree, she helped at Catholic Charities homeless shelter and also was hired on a temporary basis at Goldenwest College in the disabled student service office.

At home, in Fullerton, Vicki has helped students in the Maple school area with academics and extracurricular activities. She has worked for the Fullerton Public Library and Florence Crittenton and Independence Park for the City of Fullerton. Vicki has been working in higher education for numerous years as an educator and administrator.

Vicki is a member of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce; she also belongs to the California Association of Counseling and Development, National Association of Students Personnel Administration, California Women Lead and Business Network Inc., and Fullerton College Advisory Board. She is presently volunteering for the interfaith food bank in Fullerton. Vicki welcomes the opportunity to make difference in all of our student's lives. As we all know, our children are our future.
