Board Member; Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District; 4 Year Full Term

I am a strong teacher/student advocate and as such am concerned with the furlough days for teachers. I also have concerns with the possible evaluation of teachers based on their student's academic performance.

In our present national economy we will constantly be seeking financial support for our school system and the limited budget we have to work with causes many difficult circumstances. We need to maintain our priority on our students and classrooms.

I am concerned for our students that will not be seeking higher education but who need preparation for careers in the future workforce in our community.

I believe the strongest support for a student's successful education needs to come from the parents and their home.
