Richard gives his update on the tough times and how he can make the Assessor's office work for youBoth public and private sectors are responding to the economic downturn. I work with our Department's and the County's Long Term Restructuring plan to manage our current budget limitations as well as to plan for future years. Our Department has reduced staff by attrition and the County Voluntary Separation Program, eliminated overtime expenses, and increased production in response to the increase in the volume of assessment reductions. As your Assistant County Assessor, I see homeowners and businesspeople every day dealing with issues of diminished return on their investment, and fares about the futures. Here are just a few of the ways in which I can help in these tough economic times and in the future, as your next County Assessor:
