Political Philosophy for Kimbley Craig
Candidate for |
Salinas has been faced with difficult challenges, and we need a leader with new ideas and a fresh perspective. I am deeply committed to this community, and I believe that my extensive record of community involvement, leadership experience and business acumen are just what we need in City Council District 5. As a small business owner with a degree in Criminology, I'm uniquely qualified to serve our community. My priorities on the City Council will be community safety and economic sustainability. I will work to attract new business into Salinas, focusing on creating jobs and increasing city revenues. Economic sustainability must be achieved in this city + expenses cannot exceed revenues + a principle that not only applies to business, but to government as well. I will work towards fiscal responsibility and helping find more resources to reduce crime. Everyone deserves to live in a safe neighborhood. There is so much beauty, history and opportunity here in Salinas, and one of my other priorities will be to help promote our community and better market our assets. I want to see Salinas return to its age of glory and once again become known as the destination it once was. |
