To protect public safety services such as 911 emergency response, police and fire, as well as essential
quality of life programs like parks, libraries, public works and infrastructure, should the City of Long
Beach impose a 15% tax on recreational marijuana businesses if legalized, with a $25 tax on
cultivation sites per square foot, with an annual CPI adjustment?
