Top Priorities if Elected
  • The greatest challenge that the Kern Valley Healthcare District faces is the long-term debt that has been hovering over our head for over 20 years.
  • Staffing has always been a problem. We need to recruit and retain staff, nurses and physicians.
  • We need to become financially solvent, so that our healthcare district can thrive, and provide the best medical care possible for our residents.

Kern Valley Healthcare District Revenue Bonds History and Analysis
The debt service on the 1991 Revenue Bond Issue has been in default since its inception. There were only a few years that we were able to satisy all the bond requirements.
Membership on the KVHD Board Has Been Rewarding and Challenging
My diverse education and employment history has been a compliment to my service to others and to my ability to serve effectively on the KVHD Board of Trustees.
