  • Graduate of Marshall Elementary, Zane Junior High, and Eureka High Schools
  • Attended College of the Redwoods before transferring to Chico State University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree
  • Continuing Education at College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University in accounting
  • Advanced certification for property tax purposes with the designation of auditor from the California State Board of Equalization
  • Serve on the Management and Confidential Bargaining Committee in contract negotiations
  • Serve as Vice President for the California Assessor's Association Organization of Business Chiefs
