KEEP MARTINEZ MOVING FORWARD

FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY Martinez continues to balance its budget on realistic expectations, to have a healthy reserve, and to practice fiscal responsibility through top down reorganization. Mayor Rob Schroder will always use prudent leadership to manage our funds to provide the essential services.

SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS While other cities are forced to reduce their police force, Martinez has added officers and continues to have a fully staffed police department. Reducing crime has been a priority for Mayor Schroder and the Chief of Police just reported that crime went down by 42% over the last 5 years.

JOBS & ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION Martinez needs jobs, economic revitalization and quality, controlled growth and that is why Mayor Schroder wants to see the Downtown Specific Plan completed. New restaurants and theatrical and arts programs are stimulating Martinez business. The Marina has been designated as a Ferry Landing so rebuilding it will further improve our community. Mayor Schroder will continue bringing business to Martinez to help all residents.

IMPROVING MARTINEZ Mayor Schroder supports investments to re-pave Martinez roads and put $5m in the Marina Vista Streetscape project. Martinez parks, library, and Rankin Aquatic Center all continue to be enhanced through the $30m Measure H funding.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH Last year Mayor Schroder pushed for critical support for our schools that saved teaching jobs and kept class size reductions. He will continue to work closely with the Martinez and Mt. Diablo Unified School Districts to find ways to collaborate.
