Residents deserve to live in a decent, safe, and sanitary mannerI am working very close with the Redevelopment and Economic Development departments to increase the supply of affordable housing and foster safe neighborhoods. In 2006 I organized the Tent City Peace Movement, a successful city wide community effort to stop the violence. I've been working in the community for three decades with various neighborhood groups because I realize how important it is to stay connected, especially with senior residents of Richmond, the homeless and younger generations through youth programs. I currently sit as Vice Chair on the Recreation and Parks Commission. In that capacity I'm working to identify quality developers with an emphasis on development of affordable housing and children's play lots. This development will help ensure employment for Richmond residents, open spaces and a higher quality of life in our city. |
