The City of Oroville has dealt with nothing but political games and petty grandstanding for several years now. Many local elected officials have not behaved in a manner that instills confidence and trust in our local leadership. Linda Dahlmeier is uniquely qualified to be the Mayor of Oroville. As a small business owner and former President of the Oroville Chamber of Commerce, she has lead organizations in an environment that encouraged teamwork and collaboration. She is an accredited facilitation coach for an internationally recognized company and is skilled at resolving conflict and motivating healthy attitudes and performance. Linda has extensive experience in business and finance. She spent over twenty five years in commercial real estate in Las Vegas and Sacramento and several years in commercial and residential lending working side by side with existing and startup up businesses to help them achieve their goals. She was co-owner of three chiropractic offices in Las Vegas and founded PHACS, Preventative Health and Chiropractic Services. Linda utilized her strong negotiation skills in lobbying for the Nevada Chiropractic Association and negotiating contracts between Chiropractors and affiliated industries. Linda's background of establishing businesses from the ground up gave her unique insight when she spent four years serving as a director of the Oroville Chamber of Commerce, two of those years as president. In this capacity, Linda became intimately familiar with the Oroville business community, its needs and potential. During her term as president the Chamber was involved in the historic negotiating process for re-licensing the Oroville Dam. She also encouraged the model of a working board and helped obtain additional funds for the Chamber to run the visitor's center to attract new businesses to our community. Linda is active in the Enloe Hospital, Butte College and Bella Hero foundations. She is also involved with Oroville Rotary, through which she and her husband have opened their home and hosted foreign exchange students. She is also a certified Butte County Master Gardener. She volunteers many hours at the above mentioned and generously at many other community events.
