My name is Jerico Abanico. I am 21 years old.

I am a product of the New Haven Unified School District. I graduated from James Logan High School back in 2007. While in high school, I was active with many Union City based organizations including Pilipino Youth Coalition (PYC), Regional Alliance for Community Empowerment (RACE), St. Anne Catholic Church Youth and Young Adult Ministry and Filipino Advocates for Justice.

I am currently a student at Ohlone Community College and will be transferring to CSU East Bay to major in Human Development with a concentration on Adolescent Development. I am still very much involved with the community and continue my participation with the PYC, RACE, St. Anne Church, and Filipino Advocates for Justice.

I currently work as a youth counselor / organizer with Filipino Advocates for Justice. My role in the agency is to work with young people / students in Union City and address issues that affect them.
