Don Facciano has served Ventura County for nearly three decades as a trusted financial advisor and energetic leader to business groups, non-profit organizations and local charities. Don has earned the respect and support of dozens leaders from across the county for his vigilant demand that local governments carefully spend our tax dollars.

A California native, Don earned his degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, after two years of service in the U.S. Army.

After attending graduate business school, Don accepted an Executive Training position with Sears & Roebuck, a Fortune 100 company. Over three decades and numerous executive promotions, Don managed thousands of employees and ultimately served as a Senior Executive responsible for budgeting, auditing, and asset and revenue management of more than $100 million annually.

After leaving corporate financial management, Don took on the challenge of leading two successful Ventura County business groups. He was President/CEO of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce before he was recruited to become President/CEO of the Ventura County Taxpayer's Association, where he currently serves.

As if that's not enough work, Don is also the part-time Executive Officer of the World Affairs Council, California Central Coast.

Don has also become a much sought-after volunteer resource to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, local municipalities and school districts, which seek to tap his extensive financial expertise and unquestioned integrity.

Don has accepted appointments to serve as a member of the:

• Ventura County Economic Development Commission

• Ventura County Living Wage Advisory Committee

• Ventura County Open Space District Advisory Committee

• Port Hueneme School Bond Oversight Committee

• Ocean View School District Bond Oversight Committee

• Community College District Citizens Oversight Committee

In fact, the Boys & Girls Club annual fund raising event is named the "Donald K. Facciano Auction for Kids".

Don is one of a very few Venturans ever to receive the National Boys & Girls Club highest honor, the "American Medallion" for his distinguished contributions.

Most important to his Treasurer's campaign, as President of the Ventura County Taxpayer's Association, Don Facciano led the organization's recent investigation of malfeasance in the Treasurer/Tax Collector's office of the Public Guardian. It was Don who made sure the public knew about the theft of public funds and ensured that our elected public officials took appropriate action to resolve the matter.

Now a leading candidate for Ventura County Treasurer/Tax Collector, Don is busy meeting voters, garnering endorsements, speaking out on key issues and working has hard as ever to serve our County

Don resides in Camarillo with his wife Hazel and their Golden Retriever, Marco. Their son, Richard, a Marketing Manager and graphic artist, is Don's campaign web designer.
