Additional Endorsements for Chad Vander Veen
Candidate for |
Aside from a select few public safety associations, I am not actively soliciting endorsements because I believe endorsements are little more than special interests. I am running to represent our district, not wealthy donors who would have me do their bidding. Campaign endorsements, in my assessment, are a significant part of what makes our legislature so ineffective. Candidates with endorsements are beholden to special interests the moment they take their oath of office. But this philosophy has a catch. As we all know, sadly, often the candidate with the most money wins. Without endorsements, I depend on you to support me, to spread the word of my campaign, and to donate as individuals. I do not want donations from groups who then expect favors in return. I ask for your support only if you support me to represent the people of our district. I truly believe I can beat the big money candidates. And I believe candidates like myself must defeat them if California is to have any chance of returning to its former glory. But to do so I need your help. Just ask yourself this: Do you want to elect a candidate who will work for you or do you want a candidate who will work for special interests? |
