Mike Schmier for Attorney General - California

For over 35 years, Mike has been an employee rights attorney.

After studying law at Michigan, Mike was the law clerk for the Chief Judge of the Federal District Court in Southern California.

Served as Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles.

Served over 5 years as a Federal Labor Prosecutor, protecting employee rights.

Served as California Administrative Law Judge for employee rights

As a private Attorney General, on behalf of the people, Mike brought several lawsuits against the California Supreme Court and the Federal Courts to clean up corruption. He succeeded in 2006 when the Federal Courts changed their rules to allow the people a fair defense. All of the major states followed the same Federal Rule change, with the exception of California. Now Mike seeks to restore these same rights to all Californians (details)-

Taught employee rights, constitutional, and criminal law as a professor at several universities with focus on fostering female and minority legal education.

Joined the School Board following the exposure of a major scandal in order to to clean up the corruption. Mike withstood the pressure from special interests, and was the only School Board Member to vote against state takeover.
