Edward Paul Reyes's life embodies the struggle and success of living in California as a son of immigrant parents.

After high school, Edward enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his release from service under honorable conditions, Edward graduated from UC Berkeley. He went on to earn his Master's Degree from UCLA and later, graduated from Liberty University School of Law.

During his first year of graduate school at UCLA, Edward successfully ran for a seat in the Vernon Main Neighborhood Council, part of Council District 9 in the City of Los Angeles. He was elected as the Council's President.

Aside from being a full time teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Edward has also performed legal externships in Century City, California.

Edward is a former intern of the late Assemblyman Marco Antonio Firebaugh and served as a docent to executive associates of former California Governor Gray Davis.
