BRIAN QUINTANA'S POSITIONS ON JOBS, EDUCATION, CRIME, THE ENVIRONMENT AND POLITICAL REFORMJOB CREATION - "As your United States Senator, I will introduce legislation to create tax incentives for small businesses to hire more workers. The key to the economy is job creation, and that will be my number one priority. I will demand more funding for job retraining, and say no to higher taxes." EDUCATION - "Public education will be a key priority, and the federal government should guarantee every child a quality public education. I will see to it that our schools get the resources they need to educate our children. I will introduce legislation to fund vocational programs in our public schools." CRIME - "Congress has neglected to provide states and local government with the resources to hire additional police officers. As your Senator, I won't tolerate our budget being held hostage, and I will fight for the funds needed to hire more police officers, and for laws that will put criminal behind bars." THE ENVIRONMENT - "Our government currently has tough air pollution laws on the books, but they are not being enforced. I plan to work with each State's Attorney General to see to it that our state governments crack down on polluters, and that our air, water and mountain areas are protected for future generations." POLITICAL REFORM - "The influence of lobbyists and special interest money has corrupted Congress. As your Unites States Senator, my only interest will be the people of California." |
