As a member of the Assembly, Melissa will fight to reignite our Southern California economy and grow the local businesses and jobs that we need.The revitalization of our economy is essential for the restoration of our confidence in the future of California and Orange County. As a small business attorney for 17 years, Melissa has consistently fought for small business in the courts. She respects the hard work and knows the problems of business owners + problems that have been greatly intensified by the economic crisis. As a member of the Assembly, Melissa will fight to reignite our Southern California economy and grow the local businesses and jobs that we need. We must make it easier to start a new business or expand an existing one. Melissa is strongly committed to helping businesses create jobs through tax relief and tax incentives, cutting red tape, and by investments in freeways and transportation, job training, education, and renewable and efficient energy, in order to turn around and revitalize the economy of California and Orange County. Melissa will fight to protect the value of home ownership, so that our communities are stable, safe and well-maintained. Melissa's focus will be on helping homeowners; supporting small business through tax relief, cutting red tape, and providing incentives that create jobs and bring economic development to our community; and promoting long-term economic engines such as new forms of energy, innovative technology and the University of California, Irvine, that generate local jobs and bring prosperity to our District. |
