I am currently Mayor of Del Mar. I am a dedicated, thoughtful, problem-solver who carefully listens to Del Mar's citizens and strives to build consensus.

When I first ran for City Council, I promised to safeguard city spending, protect our homes and natural resources and ensure our residential quality of life.

As a Councilmember, I kept those promises and achieved even more. I insisted on balanced budgets and adequate reserves. I championed the successful CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) Program. I secured major grant funding to install safe, pedestrian crossing downtown and in north beach; build the 25th Street Restrooms and Lifeguard Tower; and complete the 4th to 9th Street Streetscape Improvements.

Over the next four years, I will continue practicing conservative financial management while developing strategies for upgrading our aging infrastructure and facilities. I will encourage a vibrant, downtown village while working to reduce commuter traffic and protect our neighborhoods, so Del Mar can remain a safe, walkable community.
