We should also address home owners insurance, proposing:
-regulating home insurance payments linked to mortgage status and subsidizing the home insurance for owners facing foreclosure;
-a state-subsidized renters' insurance program; and
-state-run earthquake insurance.

Let me add that I would advocate for California withdrawing any state funds from investments with insurance/financial corporations which do business with any nation in the Middle East region (including Iran and Israel) that has a nuclear arsenal.
