Who am I?By David A. PomboCandidate for Governing Board Member; Proposed Lammersville Joint Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
A little about myself.Hello Everyone, My name is David Pombo. I am running for a seat on the soon to be formed Lammersville Joint Unified School District Board. I am a lifelong resident of the Lammersville School District. My wife Dawn and I have been married for 30 years and have five children David, Dylan, Dara, Dante, and Drew, all of whom either attended or are presently attending Lammersville School, and our eldest grandchild Zoey will be attending the school in a couple of years. I have been a farmer and rancher my entire adult life and became involved in the family real estate business (Pombo Real Estate) in 2005, having gone back to school at Delta College to get my Real Estate Certificate. I am running for the board because I think it is time for me to give back to the district that I feel has given, and continues to give my children an excellent education. As a longtime small business owner, I have developed skills I believe would be an asset on the board, such as problem solving, trouble shooting, and the ability to be frugal when needed. I currently serve on the boards of both the Lammersville School Site Council and the Lammersville School Foundation. I have lived in the District all my life and have no plans to change that. I also have no agenda going in, other than assuring that our students receive the best education and most enjoyable school experience possible. Furthermore I have no political aspirations beyond the School Board and would be willing to serve as long as the community wants me to. Thank you for your consideration, David Pombo |
