Political Philosophy for Stephen P. "Steve" Clark
Candidate for |
As a candidate for nonpartisan judicial office, I have no political priorities. My priority as a judicial officer would be to ensure that justice is done. My judicial philosophy is set out below. The judge's role in ensuring that justice is done is to resolve assigned matters fairly, promptly, and decisively to protect the health and safety of the public and instill trust and confidence in the integrity of our courts, always treating everyone involved with dignity and respect. More particularly, a judge must ensure that the facts are found by judge or jury without bias in favor, or prejudice against, any participant. To those facts, a judge must apply the law as it is, not as the judge thinks or feels it should be. |
