Santa Clara County Assessor Larry Stone holds a California certified appraiser's license; has 16 years as the senior manager in the Assessor's Office; was financial manager on Wall Street; and served as Mayor of Sunnyvale which then was recognized as America's best run city.

Under Assessor Larry Stone's administration, in 15 of the last 16 budgets, the Assessor's office spent less than was budgeted, returning a total of $7.8 million to the County general fund for essential county services. The California Board of Equalization's independent audit awarded Assessor Stone's office an A+ and hailed it as one of California's best managed Assessor's offices. Plus, the office has held large corporations accountable making them pay their fair share. Assessor Stone has earned your vote. He's upgraded online services for homeowners; proactively reduced assessed values by $19.3 Billion on almost 100,000 residences; created a strong ethics policy and fired employees for failing to adhere to it; and he's fairly implemented Proposition 13.
