Statement of MADISON NGUYEN, Candidate for
Member, San Jose City Council, District 7

Occupation: Councilmember, District 7
Education and Qualifications:
Since my election in 2005, I have worked collaboratively with residents and community leaders to improve our quality of life. Together, we have created over 1,000 jobs, made major street improvements including Senter Road and Lucretia Avenue, built over 700 affordable housing units, constructed several new neighborhood parks and worked to improve public safety.
As your council member, I will continue to stand up for all our neighborhoods by advocating for quality jobs, beautifying our neighborhoods, creating affordable housing communities and ensuring public safety.
I approach every decision and policy with an open ear while respecting the importance of transparency and open government. It is important to include our residents in the decision process. In the past four years, I have worked with many neighborhood leaders to advocate for projects and programs that are important to residents in District 7.
I am supported by Mayor Chuck Reed, San Jose Police Officers Association, San Jose Firefighters Local 230 and many elected officials and community leaders.
I ask for your vote so I can continue the important work that you elected me to do. Please re-elect Madison Nguyen to the San Jose City Council.
