Experience Bringing People together making Tough DecisionsBy Peter "Scott" MarkovichCandidate for Member, Board of Supervisors; San Bernardino County; Supervisorial District 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Through my community leadership, I have been instrumental in helping to raise over $20 million for our local school district.I am currently completing my four year term as Board of Trustee for the Rim of the World Unified School District. The decision that I have been a part of regarding broad cutbacks and redistribution of resources, has saved millions of dollars for the school district. In addition, I have been instrumental in bringing millions of dollars into the RWUSD through the formation of a group of community members who saw the importance of the mountain community putting stock in and taking ownership of the success of our local schools and letting them have a say through their vote. Making difficult decisions on behalf of the community, but also allowing the citizens to accept their role in it's success, has established my qualifications to be your next San Bernardino County Supervisor in the Second District. Furthermore, my background as a business owner for the past several decades has proved my capabilities in meeting payroll and budgets that must be met, even in difficult economic times such as these. |
