What matters motivated you to seek a position on the Board of Supervisors?

Both as the Founder and Executive Director for Eli Home, Shelters for Abused Children and as member of the Anaheim City Council I have first hand knowledge of the great importance the Orange County Board of Supervisors play in providing services to our community. The OC Board of Supervisors 4th District in particular is a diverse community; one that is overshadowed by partisan politics. Issues should be decided not by partisan politics, but rather on what improves and maintains the quality of life for the residents of Orange County. I believe that I am the candidate best suited to be the voice for change and reason on the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

What do you consider to be the major issues facing the 4th District?

The major issues facing the 4th District are job creation, job retention, County budgetary issues and transportation/infrastructure. Setting in motion an aggressive campaign for creating and preserving jobs, I will call on Economists, Scholars, Private Business Representatives, and Local Elected officials to work together in a fast track manner for creating jobs. The best way to turn our local economy around is to put people back to work. I am supportive of projects like the expansion of John Wayne Airport, the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), and California High Speed Rail; all of which are potentially great opportunities for creating good paying jobs and can have a positive impact on our local economy. The unfortunate truth is that for the County to fix the budget crisis they face, further cuts will need to be made. I will ensure that any cuts to public safety do not result in minimizing standards for our sheriffs, firefighters and paramedics, and further do not jeopardize the safety of the public.
