Member, Democratic Party Party County Central Committee; County of Orange; State Assembly District 72

I have been a voting Democrat for most of my life. After a few years of the Bush/Cheney administration, I decided, with some influence from some friends who were already active, to get more involved, and joined the Democrats of North Orange County, which is quite an active group.

I continue to be disturbed by those selfish individuals and groups who, by good fortune, have managed to accumulate some wealth, and whose only mantra seems to be "No New Taxes". Those who have some money should be willing to share with those who are less fortunate. Especially those who have obtained their wealth by "hook or by crook" should be obligated to share their ill-gotten gains.

That said, I am for fiscally responsible government, and somehow we must get away from the control of government by lobbyists of large and small companies and corporations -- they are certainly getting their money's worth -- we are certainly not getting ours!

Working with the Democratic Party seems to be the best way for me to help make the necessary changes. And, joining the Orange County Central Committee is an immediate means to help carry out that work.
