Candidate for
Assessor; County of Humboldt

Johanna is a native of California born (1948) and raised in Long Beach. She moved to Humboldt County in 1971 where she met and married her late husband Roger Rodoni. Johanna became a full time cattle rancher in 1980, a lifelong goal of hers. As indicated by her professional, civic and personal experience, she has a profound interest in local and state government, natural resources, wildlife, business, and her community.

Following is a list of Boards, Commissions and organizations which she has been active in:

• 2009-present: College of the Redwoods Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee member.
• 2008: Humboldt County Supervisor + 2nd District. Appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to fill vacancy left by the death of Supervisor Roger Rodoni.
• 2008: California State Association of Counties Board of Directors member
• 2002 - present: Humboldt County Fair Association Board of Directors member
• 2007 - present: AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project Advisory Committee member
• 1999 - present: Rotary International (Fortuna Sunrise Rotary) member. Served on the Board of Directors for 2 years.
• 1996 - present: Fortuna Chamber of Commerce. Served on the Board of Directors for 3 years.
• 2001 - 2008: Executive Director of The Buckeye Conservancy, a 501c3 non-profit organization of family farm, ranch and forest landowners dedicated to those ideals and policies that support the ecological and economic sustainability of natural resources and open space in family ownership.
• Member of Humboldt Sponsors, California Cattlemen's Association, Humboldt Del-Norte Cattlemen's Association, Humboldt CattleWomen's Association, Farm Bureau, Grange.
• 1998- 2006: Chairman + Humboldt County Fish and Game Advisory Commission
• 1991-1993: Humboldt County CattleWomen's Association President.
• 4-H Leader for many years in the 1970's and 1980's.

For the last fourteen years, Johanna has managed the family's beef cattle ranch in Humboldt County. She has been recognized as CattleWoman of the Year and received recognition from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for "outstanding contributions to the nation's fish and wildlife resources" for being a partner in a major coho salmon stream restoration project on one of her cattle ranches.

Johanna has 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
