As your elected official, I will continue to ensure your hard-earned tax dollars are kept safe and invested wisely. The Contra Costa County Treasurer-Tax Collector's office has the best credit-quality rating (AAAf) and fund volatility rating (S1+)* for public funds. We have achieved this through our strong investment policy, dedicated staff, and an active Treasury Oversight Committee. While other cities, counties, and states have lost hundreds of millions of dollars in risky investments, our office preserved every dollar invested. Let's not repeat history by making the mistake the City of San Jose or Orange County made in chasing yield over safety and availability of funds! |
