John Creighton has lived in Alameda County for 33 years. He is married and has two children attending public school. John is a Vietnam veteran who went on to graduate from UC Berkeley and USF Law School.

He has worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County for 25 years. John also serves on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood and on the Site Council at his daughters' school.

John Creighton has prosecuted hundreds of cases including murder, domestic violence, sexual assault, theft and major narcotics trafficking. His work has brought him to all parts of Alameda County and has given him a deep understanding of our county's diverse population.

As a member of Alameda County's Environmental Protection Division, John litigated cases against polluters. He now works in the Gang Prosecution Unit and is active in local community efforts to suppress violent gang activity.
