- Adopt a new standard for the development of the City budget, to promote fiscal accountability and responsibility.
- Retain the public trust by eliminating waste and duplication.
REDEVELOPMENT
- Have smart, responsible projects that will revitalize under-utilized areas & increase our tax base while protecting our neighborhood integrity and charm.
- Enhance the dialogue among stakeholders in our neighborhoods by using a broader approach.
LOCAL ECONOMY
- Attract responsible businesses to Culver City.
- Be more "customer friendly," outcome oriented and promote true partnerships between our government, private enterprise and the community.
PUBLIC SAFETY
- Maintain our police, fire and emergency services at current exceptional levels.
- Expand the City's Emergency Preparedness Plan to include temporary shelters for humans and animals.
SCHOOLS
- Improve communication and collaboration between the School District and City Government.
- Look at City and School resource sharing to maximize returns and cut costs.
ENVIRONMENT
- Set a high bar for Living Green including finding alternate energy resources.
- Promote commercial and residential development that creates walkable neighborhoods and business districts.
PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
- Support the Senior Center through grants and partnerships to ensure its programs, such as the Home Delivered Meal Program, are maintained at their exceptional levels of service and quality.
- Develop corporate partnerships to upgrade and enhance parks and recreation programs and renovate entertainment facilities.
HOUSING
- Work to identify responsible projects that can be built for residents.
- Improve code enforcement and nuisance abatement efforts to minimize crime and vandalism.
