Thank you for clicking here!
Since my wife Linda and I moved here 23 years ago, I have been involved in our community, Abington specifically. I started out as a Chair Person for the McKinley Civic Association for many years, elected to the President of the Abington Council of Civic Groups where we were able to convince the Township to purchase the Hillside Cemetery ground for open space. This saved the Abington community millions of tax payer's dollars. I then was asked to serve on the Abington Twp. Zoning Hearing Board where I was Chairman of the group during my last year. Moving forward, I was asked to assume the Abington Ward 4 Commissioner position - I did and the next year I than ran for that office which is up at the end of this year.
As your Commissioner, I have been successful in bringing items to Ward 4 continuing to make this a great place to work, live and raise our families. They include: No Real estate tax increase during my terms Traffic Safety Devices installed on Shelmire,Zane Tulpenhocken, Rolling Hill Rd, and Cardinal Rd Assisted the McKinley Civic in obtaining a $5K grant Open Space purchase on Forrest Ave for Community use Installation of Soccer Fields at McKinley School for our Childrens use Creation of a community web page http://www.abingtonward4.com E-mail allerts McKinley Holiday Event
These are just a few items that I have worked on since taking on the position.
I have enjoyed working for our community and hope you will allow me to continue on November 3, 2009. |
