Why I am RunningLast spring the Board of Commissioners approved the taking of a property in Abington Township by right of eminent domain. Not only does this send the wrong message to businesses or individuals looking to build a future in our township it also has resulted in a law suit that will cost the township millions of dollars in legal and other expenses. Since there are other vacant properties close to the property in question I am deeply concerned that the township did not exercise sufficent due diligence and are wasting our tax monies. |
