School Director; Wissahickon School District

As a school board, we must:

• Guarantee students have the tools and support necessary to achieve to their fullest potential.
• Insist on acceptable rationale to justify expenditures.
• Scrutinize the use of taxpayer funds to ensure a direct link to improving student achievement and efficiency throughout the district.
• Hold staff accountable to ensure that we are striving to reach our district goals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Promote the use of data to evaluate our effectiveness in all areas of operation.

• modifying our students' educational experience so each can be successful in the 21st century.
• ensuring that all of our students are provided challenging curriculum and appropriate, effective support.
• focusing efforts on reducing the achievement gap.
• addressing the state requirement that all students must be proficient in reading & math by 2014.
• overseeing the responsible infusion of technology across the district.
• providing an educational program as efficiently as possible.
• negotiating the contracts of our teachers and administrators in 2010.
• being ever mindful of how we spend our taxpayers' dollars.
