Ben lives on West Mount Vernon Street with his wife Jordan, 3-year-old son Prosper, 6-year-old Afghan Hound (Julian) and 1-year-old Great Pyrenees (Lilly). Ben was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, attending Bethlehem City School District until second grade, completed primary and secondary school at Northwestern Lehigh in New Tripoli, Pa, then spent four years at Penn State (Bachelor of Arts, '91) before earning his juris doctor at the University of Florida College of Law. Ben works in Kulpsville, where he is vice president and co-general counsel of a regional real estate developer. In 2005 Ben was elected to Borough Council, serving on the Land Use, Parks, Litigation, Administration & Finance, and Police Chief Search Committees, served as President of Council (1/08 + 4/09) and presently serves on the Economic Development Committee that he created in November 2008. Ben was required to resign from council when he moved from the Second Ward to the Third Ward when his family bought their second home in the borough. When not working, spending time with his family or driving the borough administration nuts, Ben can often be seen running through Lansdale streets at dawn or dusk training for his next marathon. |
