Candidate for
Council Member; Borough of Media

With our peaceful residential neighborhoods and exciting business district, Media Borough is an exceptional place to live, work and enjoy life. However, the lack of effective leadership and individual initiative on council combined with political meandering the past several years has taken its toll on the Borough, resulting in multiple real estate tax increases, failed legislation to protect our families and children, and a poorly planned future.

My name is Daniel P. Costello, and for the reasons above, I have chosen to run for Borough Council. I run as a neighbor, a resident, and a father committed towards making the Borough a better place for everyone. In 2006, I joined the Borough Planning Commission with a desire to improve and protect the quality of life within our town. As your Borough Council Representative, I will expand my work to the benefit of our residents and neighbors. I will attack the annual budget to ensure that spending is kept under control and tax increases are halted. I will work to ensure our streets are clean, safe and services are kept in tact. I will serve this town with a focus not only on present day issues, but also with a focus on the future so that the qualities of our town can be enjoyed by future generations.

Media Borough is a small town that needs effective leadership over bureaucracy. Our town desires a commitment to our needs above those of a political party. Our town deserves leaders with their attention focused on OUR future over their own. I ask for your vote this November so that, together, we can make local government work to the benefit of our residents. Now is the time to take back our town!
