Candidate for
Mayor; Borough of Crafton

My parents always encouraged me to pursue education and they worked hard to give me the opportunity to earn a Bachelors of Arts at St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN. From there I went on to put myself through law school at Duquesne University, earning my J.D. in the evening program.

Through my employment with the same major insurance carrier for the past 32 years, I have gained extensive business experience. As an attorney with 21 years experience in civil litigation, I am presently managing its litigation for Western Pennsylvania. I have also been a manager in the claim department and a manager in the sales department. In addition to my legal experience, I have been successful in managing budgets, project development and implementation, handling personnel issues, and achieving established business goals.

My political experience includes: Crafton Borough Council 1986-September 1995 serving part of the time as Vice-President and then President of Council; Borough Auditor 1999-2005; Mayor, Borough of Crafton 2006 to present

In addition, I have volunteered to work and support nonprofit efforts, including: Former trustee Crafton Public Library Association; Member of Zonta International since 1983 holding multiple officer positions over the years, including president and appointed to Chartiers Valley Flood Control Authority; Former Member Board of Directors of Chartiers Nature Conservancy; Former member of the Board of Directors The Corporate Closet and its successor organization Dress for Success Pittsburgh.
