Candidate for
Trustee; Township of Anderson

I am a conservative first both fiscally and socially, who believes in and practices tolerance and fairness in all of my activities. I am a registered Republican.

My current conservative fiscal approach was developed from the business management practices of the organizations I have led and participated in: which is to foster growth consistent with preservation of fundamental value. In Township government this means spending the taxpayer's hard-earned funds as wisely as possible. I believe in a minimalist government consistent with providing the level of services the public expects, always keeping within our means. Adequate reserves for contingencies must be maintained. Tax increases are to be a last resort to maintain basic services. I believe that insisting on quality is always the least expensive approach.

I will strive to ensure that Anderson Township continues to be a great place to live, for all of our residents, regardless of belief, race, economic status, or opinion. I am intolerant of "hate" in all forms. I believe that civility in the conduct of business, both public and private is a necessary prerequisite for a democracy to function. I strive to build consensus and provide leadership toward worthy goals.
