1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)
I have been an educator for 38 years, including 16 years at Princeton, as English teacher and assistant principal. I have been a Springdale resident and Princeton parent for 34 years. My PhD in Educational Administration and four years Board experience qualify me for this position. I am currently Board President.2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
I am an educator who is sensitive to and knowledgeable about disparities in achievement and have successfully implemented policy and instructional practices that have increased the graduation rate for African American males at Princeton High School and led to the achievement of an "Excellent" rating for four of the district's schools. I continue to encourage the hiring of minorities for our teaching and administrative ranks. The work to improve academic achievement, to provide oversight for responsible use of the district's financial resources, and the recruitment and retention of qualified, diverse staff will drive my actions for the next four years.
