2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

By bringing responsibility, professionalism, transparency and a strong work ethic to the Tresurer's office, I pledge to hire a full time qualified staff to work to restructure and modernize the office. 4. What steps should the local government take to ensure that the quality of rental property meets minimum legal standards? (100 word limit)
|
Answer from Thomas G. "Tom" Brown:
As the former Building Department Deputy Commissioner for the City of Norwood, I have personally worked to ensure the quality of rental property in the City of Norwood. The City Administration needs to full fund and fully train the staff Norwood Building Department. Local governments should stengthen current laws and make both the landland and renter responsible for conditions of rental property. Also, more enforcement is needed to reduce illegal rental units.
