Answer from Charlie Norman:
I have 8 years of diverse government finance experience in addition to 2 years working in the private sector finance industry. I am a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public Treasurers, and have served as City Treasurer since January of 2009.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Charlie Norman:
I have already reduced the City's banking fees by over 80%, saving the City thousands of dollars. I will actively pursue banking relationships that will provide the City with the best return on our investments while at the same time safeguarding City funds.

3. What two actions would you promote to enhance city revenue or decrease city expenditures in order to balance the city budget, given the current economic conditions? (100 word limit)

Answer from Charlie Norman:
1) The City should actively pursue Joint Economic Development District agreements with our neighbors in Green Township. These districts have the potential of providing a significant revenue boost without raising City taxes.
2) The City should examine opportunities for cross-jurisdictional cooperation with neighboring governments.
