I have spent virtually my entire professional life serving the people of Half Moon Bay and fighting for the preservation of the coast that makes our town so special. The housing market collapse teaches us that simply adding more rooftops does not offer the path to sustainable economic prosperity. We need a new way forward focused on our remarkable assets.

The path to a prosperous and sustainable future lies in protecting our coasts, moving toward green energy, investing in our local businesses and agriculture, and tapping into the growing potential of eco-tourism. I believe we can keep our values and build a robust economy -- in fact it is the only way.
