I am a longtime resident of the Coastside. I have served on the PTMFPD and CFPD Boards since 2001; elected twice.I am active in the community and get out and talk with citizens. I have been directly involved in the financial committees of both districts since 2001. With your vote, I can continue to monitor the budget without compromising our excellent fire and parametic services. I have worked toward compromise on divided boards. However, in the end, I have an obligation to vote my judgment for what is best for the citizens of the District. I believe consolidation and Cal Fire have proven to be the correct decisions for the Coastside. The savings to the taxpayers are in excess of a million dollars a year. I will continue to work closely with our Water Districts to insure adequate water supply for fire surpression. The recent Coral Reef defensible space demonstration project has engaged residents and other agencies in adressing this threat to our community. Future goals will include addressing PERS obligations, and continuing instruction on public awareness of defensible space around houses. Please vote for Ginny McShane, Nov. 3rd. |
