I believe that we should strive to deliver a quality education to all children at each school in the District. The major question is how to achieve that goal in our downturned economy when fewer dollars are available?

> Recruit and retain the very best teachers

> Guarantee equity and accountability

> Practice sound fiscal management with regular accountability to the taxpayers

> Improve communications between teachers, parents, students and the district office

> Constantly search for grant opportunities and new sources of funding

> Reduce the bureaucracy - hold it accountable

> Make schools welcoming for all parents

> Make schools community centers during the hours of 3 pm to 6 pm

> Schools must be safe places in order for learning to occur

> We need a new kind of leadership with a common sense approach to education

> Let's beging to leverage the strengths of the entire community and make education a priority
