Vice Mayor Moylan believes that his duty as a councilmember is to ensure that the City of Sunnyvale is put in a position to thrive for the indefinite future; namely, to be sustainable in all senses of the word. He believes that individual Council decisions should be based on what is best for the city as a whole, not for any one group. When controversies arise, he believes that it is his responsibility to search for a win-win solution rather than to choose between conflicting factions.
