2. What is your evaluation of the financial condition of the District?
Answer from Wendell "Bill" Kerr:
The District is in excellent financial condition. We are a collection agency and deliver our wastewater to the San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant located in San Jose. We are proactively maintaining and updating our infrastructure while keeping our service charges as low as possible. The capital needs of the Plant and our collection system are substantial and we need to assure continued serviceability.
3. In what ways would you collaborate with other governmental entities to achieve the District's goals?
Answer from Wendell "Bill" Kerr:
The District works closely in collaboration with the cities of San Jose and Santa Clara, the other tributary (collection)agencies, the Santa Clara Valley Water District & Special Districts Association on all wastewater issues. I participate on committees of the state wide California Association of Sanitation Agencies(CASA), a recognized association and leader in both the state and national arena for wastewater issues.
