Political Philosophy for Barbara Heller
Candidate for |
Barbara has the proven experience necessary to help San Rafael in these tough economic times. She is known for doing her homework and voting her conscience. She is committed to transparency in governmental affairs and is leading the effort to provide full Internet accessibility to all City Council meetings. She has worked for public recreational projects such as pools and ball fields, helped get the Marin Community Access TV off the ground, and always supports neighborhood efforts to retain their unique character. Barbara was the key vote for San Rafael to join the Marin Clean Energy JPA and she is confident the proposals now before the Authority will lead to cost effective and locally controlled power for the County. Her support for our public safety facilities and personnel are second to none. She is active in the Measure G campaign for retrofit and upgrade of police and fire facilities. She has helped protect parks and open spaces, hilltops and bayshore. She is proud of her work with all aspects of the San Rafael community and in taking San Rafael toward a sustainable future. |
