I have lived in Fairfax for thirty five years and raised my family here. We started a family business, and I managed a local retail store. Before being elected I served as Chair of the Park and Recreation Commission. I worked with volunteers to renovate our only playground, completed our Park Master Plan and served as Chair of the Fairfax Festival. As a new council member I supported an affordable housing project on Park Road to completion. I want to see our council get our Housing Element certified by the State so that we can complete our General Plan. If I am re-elected, my priorities will continue to be maintaining public safety; building neighborhood self-reliance in the event of a disaster; protecting our environment through careful planning and enforcement, and finalizing our general plan. I will continue to be an advocate for all our citizens. I love our small town character with its diversity of ideas. The best thing about volunteering and serving as an elected council member is getting to know the residents. Our citizens are Fairfax's greatest asset. |
