Candidate for
Council Member; City of Mill Valley

Since 1998 I have been an active participant in a broad range of community volunteer activities, including service on the City Council (2005-2009), Vice Mayor (2008) and Mayor (2009)), three County Boards (Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin (2004-2009), Southern Marin Emergency Medical Paramedic System (2008-2009), Marin Telecommunications Agency (2004-2009, Chair 2007-2009)), Planning Commission (1998-2004), Vice Chair Hillside Development Advisory Committee (2002-2003), and as a youth sports coach.

In all activities I work toward building compromise and consensus. This community experience also provides a deep understanding of the critical issues facing Mill Valley, including: preserving our town character and environment, health and safety, fiscal accountability, nurturing local businesses, preservation of open space and participation in County civic functions.

I pledge to dedicate the time necessary to equitably address these issues, to listen before making reasoned decisions, to work toward preserving and enhancing our community and to being committed and responsive to your concerns. Together we can preserve all that is special about Mill Valley.
