It is my firm belief that school board seats must never be used as "springboards" to other political office.

There has to be equal access to education for all, regardless of race, color, religions, ethnicity, or creed.

For over eight years, the residents of El Monte have been and are still being cheated of educational services that our Rio Hondo Community College has given and continues to give to Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, et al.

This is absolutely unfair, unjust, and abusive. We deserve the same level of service that our community college gives to other areas--everywhere else but in El Monte.

Since we also GET to pay the $249 million tax-bond, we are entitled to service--service which we still don't have.

Economic development of our city depends on the level of education of its residents. We in El Monte continue to be deprived of the very tools we require to improve our economy: education, education, education.
