Olga S. Morales was born on April 9th, 1960 in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. In 1965 her family migrated to California. She would grow up in Los Angeles with her four siblings, and like all families, assume the duties of being the oldest. In 1978, she graduated from Roosevelt High School

In 1983, her family left Los Angeles and made Baldwin Park their permanent home. Soon after she would marry Gerardo Morales and begin to raise a family. Adam (now 24), Britteney (now 20) and Steven. Sadly, they would lose Steven in his infancy to CHARGE Syndrome.

Olga immediately took an active interest in her children's education. As a parent she became a booster at Foster Elementary. Her continued interest in the operations of the school system led her to become involved in the school's Parent Advisory Committee. Here she learned about the school's various programs and how the economic side of things worked. Experience that would become vital in the coming years.

She would later join the Bilingual Advisory Committee and then District Advisory Committee. Working with parents, teachers and administrators allowed Olga to see education work from all perspectives. Finally, in 1996 Olga became the President of Foster's Parent Booster Club.

Her combination of community activism and public speaking skills led her to be hired as a member of the Harris and Company community relations team.

In 1997 Olga was elected to the Baldwin Park School Board. During her tenure, Baldwin Park schools flourished and received numerous Golden Bell awards.

Since her departure from the district in 2001, Olga has been working with Harris & Company--Public Information and Community Outreach as a Community Relations Project Manager to the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works.

Now in the Summer of 2009, with experience on all levels of school governance under her belt, Olga has decided to run for the Baldwin Park School Board again. She believes it is time to bring back the integrity and trust to our school system. Olga has always conducted herself with the highest level of integrity and ethics; she hopes to bring this with her when elected.

Olga's vision for the district is centered on reengaging parents with their children's education and preparing students for the challenges they will encounter after graduating high school.
